I Finally Gave my body What it Wanted | Days 4, 5 and 6

Image
So... I was planning on stopping at day 3... But my body told me that it wasn't ready yet! My biggest worry was to not get enough nutrients during this period of time but I decided to follow my instinct and to do whatever sounded right, without worring. I'm learning so much about my body everyday, I thought that after loosing 30 pounds I already knew my body but guess what?! I've never been so wrong! Part 1 (Why I'm doing this!) Part 2 (Days 1, 2 and 3) DAY #4 As I said in the previous post, the day before I ate 10 fries (literally... If not 10 they might have been 15... But not more!) and my body definitely felt them! I wasn't bloated (not as much as day one and two) but I also didn't feel great! I also didn't feel an incredible hunger sensation! This was also leg day and I was worried about not making through it, but guess what? I felt amazing! I haven't got a mind-muscles connection like this in a very long time (and that was somethi...

Why does Binge-Eating Happen?! | MyWeightLossJourney

Hello everybody! I hope you have a great day, and if not, I hope I'll make it a little better with this post! What I wanted to talk about is how to not binge-eat , especially if you're trying to loose some weight (or even if you find yourself indulging a little too much!), but it turned out to be a " why are you binge-eating " post... Which... That may be helpful too, I guess! LET ME KNOW IF YOU FIND IT INTERESTING! That's because I often find myself craving cookies/ice cream/chocolate after dinner and I've tried to stop this habit/cravings... But the first thing to make those stop is to actually identify the reasons that make that happen! SO, IF YOU HAVE SOME CRAVINGS, YOU MIGHT HAVE TO ASK SOME QUESTION TO YOUR LITTLE SOUL, BEFORE STARTING EATING! Here's what I ask myself! IS IT JUST AN HABIT? Sometimes having something sweet after dinner is just an habit which could be not that easy to break, but as everyone says, it takes "only"...

5 Habits to make your day a little bit better! #MyHealthyLife

I've never been  a creature of habit and I probably never will, I used to think that having a morning routine was just stupid and time-wasting. Probably it was because of my chaotic lifestyle: wake up at 6, be ready for 7 and just go, go, go all day long... Come back home 13/14 hours later and collapse on the bed...  This was my life at uni... AND I HATED IT...  (side note... this was also one of the reason that made me decide to not continue my "student path"... tbh... If you want to I can make a post about it...) As soon as I found a job and got "settled" (and with this term I mean it became my "normal life") I felt like I missed something. I was still stressed and I felt like I needed something that was able to help me to chill out, just because this is, at the end of the day, my actual life from now on, and I can't live all my life stressed and anxious all the time! I started, then, trying new stuff. Things that I've...

2018 Challenge! Lean Body Edition

Image
HELLO. Today I've decided to make things official. During the holidays I've gained a bunch of weight and I've decided to commit to something different, that I'm against (not totally, but I'm scared it could become an obsession... We'll see!), and that may help me get leaner for the summer... I've decided to take my measurements and I've invested on a diagnostic scale (a popping 22.90 euros, to be exact! LOL.) to help me understand more my body and figure out my progress, just because I'm about the idea that when you look at yourself on the mirror everyday you end up, most of the time, not seeing your progress, so NUMBERS MAY HELP! WHY HAVE I DONE THIS??? I'm all about listening to your body, doing what you think it's right and what makes you happy... But I feel like, PERSONALLY (we're all different, what works for me may not work for you!), I need something that, when I fell off the track, pushes me back on! MY MEASUREME...

Breakfast Cookies | #myweightlossjourney

Image
As promised here's the recipie for the cookies! I was able to make 16 (decent sized!) cookies out of it. Those are tasty and healthier than your usual cookies, I've tried to swap out ingredients and I have to say that I was able to make it work! Usually, if I have those for breakfast I would eat 2 or 3, paired with an hot cup of coffee! Cause COFFEE IS LIFE .   ( here's the link of the video) INGREDIENTS: Whole Wheat Flour                     100 grams Oats                                               80 grams Coconut Flour                  ...

Food Swaps for WeightLoss | MyWeightlossJourney

Image
I've never been the person that followed a diet, I've never been into one and I will never be... WHY? Because I find that restricting yourself, in any way, shape or form, is not the right thing to do ! Even if I try, I think I'd last for no more than a week! I think that, instead, if you're trying to loose some weight, you should start with small changes that, slowly but surely, will change your whole lifestyle ... Without you even realizing it! I've learned also that is not about HOW MANY TIMES YOU TRAIN AND FOR HOW LONG... IT'S ABOUT THE FOOD YOU EAT ! You can train 2 to 3 hours a day... But if you eat crap ... You'll feel like crap! (that's my honest opinion). BREAD LET'S BE HONEST... BREAD IS LIFE The texture, the taste, the filling-power that it has... It's hard to give up on bread! But I've found some food that help me stop the "cravings" (which are not even cravings! They're more like a satiation feeli...

Diet tips & tricks | My weightloss journey

Image
Hi everyone! Today I wanna share some tips that helped me lose weight. The most important thing, to me, when starting a weight-loss journey, is not to make huge changes from day to night and expect them to work! Starting small is definitely the way to go!   I. Don't drink your calories I started this weightloss journey with the "I don't want to starve" idea in my mind and the best thing to do is not to drink calories! I'm talking about energy drinks, fuit juices but most and foremost added sugar. I'm not referring about the drinks you buy at the groceries (I mean... Also those!) but about the sugar you put on the coffee/tea... It's so easy to add some empty calories into your diet! CAREFUL! Sometimes we don't realize how much sugar we add to our coffee or other food! II. Less processed food Always with the "I don't want to starve" idea in mind I looked for food that have the proprieties to fill me up for a long per...

HEALTHY BROWNIES | #MyWeightlossJourney

Image
Hi everybody! Today I wanna share a recipie with you that is so easy to make and SOOO delicius that is not even funny! Now... I have to say that I'm trying to eat as low carb as possible, avoiding refined sugars and empty calories... But it's not easy! While looking for keto friendly recipies I've came across this one (which I've later modify a little bit, to make it less expensive , if I have to be honest!) and although is not "low carb diet friendly" I find that it's still better than the classic brownies recipies that you find on the internet! Those brownies use carrots for moisture and I have to say that I was skeptick about that but you don't even taste them at the end so... THAT'S EVEN BETTER! The carrots and the dates make them SOOO FUDGY and incredible sweet, they are so decadent and chocolatey, it seems like there is a whole ton of chocolate in them, while there is only unsweetened cocoa! Without further do, let's get into th...

How to stay motivated during a weightloss journey!

Image
Hi everyone! Today I wanna talk about what kept me motivated during my weightloss journey! Loosing more than 30 pounds has not been the easiest thing and I have to be honest... Someday I felt great and some days I felt like I was only a failure. Those days were soooo hard and what kept me going were the "little" things that I've listed in this post... Do those solve the problem? NO... But they can help a lot, especially when you have a bad day!   I.    Set realistic goals Sometimes we see super-shredded women/men on Instagram and we're like "I wish I could look like her/him" and we start working out with that idea in mind... AND IT'S GREAT! Until you realize that your body-type (maybe, we're all different!) is not meant to be like that... Everybody is different and what I've experienced overtime is that you don't have to train to look like someone, you train to be the best version of yourself! II.  Do not mind the scale ...

Mistakes I made at the gym | My Weightloss Journey

Image
If you're trying to loose some weight, working out will help you obtaining the results you want faster (even thought nutrition is the MAYOR KEY TO SUCCESS!), but you have to be careful not to exaggerate! Here's the mistakes I made, that didn't allow me to see the results I was hoping for! I. NOT HAVING A REST DAY " I have to loose weight, I should work out every day, seven days a week, and that's what I'm gonna do !"  WELL... THAT WAS MY MINDSET Our muscles need some rest and having a rest-day is the best thing to do! II. TRAINING ALL THE MUSCLE GROUPS AT ONCE, EVERY SINGLE DAY I used to spend almost three hours at the gym on a daily bases(which, btw, it was and it still is a room in my house basement!), doing cardio for half an hour and the rest of the time training all the muscle-groups! It's the same concept as the rest day... Your muscles need some rest! Training one/two group of muscles per day is the best thing, you giv...
